THANK YOU! -  Ft. Davis ISD, we really appreciate you all keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!  It means a great deal to us to know that we have friends like you all, who can give us a shoulder to lean on during times like these.

My Dear Friend

My dear friend
please come back.
I miss you so.
Without you,
the sky turns gray,
my days turn blue,
the clouds pour rain,
the lightning it strikes down on my heart.
But ever since the day you left,
it had already fallen apart.

In Loving Memory
“Melissa Cruz”
June 8, 1990- February 1, 2007

You left without warning.
Some say it was noon that day,
others say early that morning.
Whatever the time, you still died.
When we heard, we couldn't believe it was you,
and most of us didn't know what to do.
We miss you so much that we ache.
We weren't sure how much
more pain we could take.
We are slowly beginning to heal.
It is hard, none of us could
ever explain how we feel.
You needed us, and we needed you.
Therefore, you did what you had to do.
We are glad that you are in a better place,
but any one of us would give anything just to see your face.
On February 1, an angel was sent down;
The angel came, told you it was your time,
and set on your head, that golden crown.
You are watching over us now
with a smile on your face.
We surely know that a 16-year-old
can have a lot of fun in such a
beautiful place.
We want you to know that we will
always keep your name around.
The tears roll silently down,
showing all of the pain,
yet making no sound.
Anytime that you need us, we are here.
Don't think that we aren't, forget that fear.
We wish that we could tell you
that we miss you.
We can in our dreams,
and believe me, we do.
We also wish that we had the
chance to look you in the eye,
And say 'We love you and goodbye.
