I was born and raised in the Kansas City area and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 2011. My grandparents used to own the Outback Oasis, where I spent many of my summers as a child. Because of those visits, I grew to love Sanderson at a young age and moved here the summer after I graduated from high school.
I graduated from Sul Ross State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in History. I have been teaching since 2022. I taught first grade during my first year and then moved to junior high and high school English, where I also began serving as an assistant coach.
I have three children, Matthew, Mila, and Micah, who all attend school in Sanderson. In my free time, I enjoy listening to audiobooks, hand embroidery, and spending time with my family.
